Melting snow across northwestern North Carolina and southwestern Virginia in combination with heavy rain during the late evening hours on the 14th and early morning hours on the 15th in south-central Virginia and northern North Carolina resulted in minor flooding on lower portions of the Dan River. 5 feet above flood stage at South Boston at 2030 EST on the 16th.

Melting snow across northwestern North Carolina and southwestern Virginia in combination with heavy rain during the late evening hours on the 14th and early morning hours on the 15th in south-central Virginia and northern North Carolina resulted in minor flooding on lower portions of the Dan River. The Dan River crested almost 2.5 feet above flood stage at South Boston at 2030 EST on the 16th.
