Several severe storms affected Castro and Parmer Counties on the evening of the 6th. A weak, brief tornado was reported south of Dimmitt by an experienced storm chaser. The Castro County Sheriff's Office reported large hail at several locations within the county. Dime-size hail accumulated to 7 inches deep at Flagg (about 9 SW of Dimmitt).
