The most widespread severe weather event of the month occurred on the 29th and into the morning of the 30th. Numerous reports of dime- to quarter-sized hail were received from O'Donnell, Happy, Tulia, Quitaque, Dimmitt, Earth, Petersburg, and Ralls. A brief, weak tornado was reported just north of Petersburg by the Hale County Sheriff's Office.
