Flash Flood, Harrison

When: May 27, 3:30 PM CST to 10:15 PM CST
Where: Harrison County, Marshall
Coordinates: 32.548, -94.371 (the zone’s center; the record gives no point)

Slow moving thunderstorms caused flooding across most of the city. Severe flooding was reported in the areas of U.S. Hwy 59 and U.S. Hwy 80. Several homes had up to two feet of water in them in the Pecan Ridge Subdivision. Several other homes on Harper, Warren and Country Club roads had water in them. Rain totals reached seven inches. The high water also led to many road closures including some roads and bridges being washed out.
