A round of late afternoon and evening thunderstorms rolled south from Greeley to Hall county. A part of northwest Howard sustained tremendous crop loss from the wind driven hail. Drifts of hail were still present the next morning. Windows were broken and pivots overturned. As the hail moved through Grand Island, numerous cars were damaged.
