An F1 tornado destroyed a large part of a farm near Riffe and also damaged a few houses and destroyed several barns on a 10 mile path to Gilpin. Many trees and power lines were also down. Damage to the farm alone was at $150,100. The tornado appeared to skip in spots across south central Casey county. This tornado was produced by the same supercell that produced the F3 tornado that moved across Cane Valley and Pellyton in northern Adair county.
