Snowmelt and thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall in January sent the Wabash River rising and cresting around the first of February. At New Harmony, the Wabash River crested at 15.8 feet, just over its 15 foot flood stage. Minor flooding of bottomland occurred. There was no significant damage.
