Strong and damaging winds swept across Eastern Iowa into Northwestern Illinois. By far the greatest damage was done in Iowa with winds diminishing as they entered Illinois. The majority of the damage was mainly done to area trees, with falling trees creating difficulties as they blocked roads, caused power outages, and damaged houses.
