An F1 tornado touched down about 5 miles west of Booneville, just south of Highway 10. The tornado travelled approximately 5 miles north-northeastward before it lifted. Several homes sustained substantial damage, as well as a number of outbuildings. A woman was killed when her mobile home was blown off its foundation, overturned, and tumbled down a hill. Her husband and their two children were injured. A number of trees were also uprooted along the path of the tornado.
