Heavy rainfall in southern Virginia and northern North Carolina on the 12th resulted in minor flooding on the Dan River from just upstream of Danville to 6 miles east of South Boston and on the Roanoke River from Randolph to 5 miles southeast of Red Oak.The Dan River crested almost 2 feet above flood stage at Danville at 0900 EST on the 13th, a little over a foot above flood stage at Paces at 0800 EST on the 14th, and almost 4.5 feet above flood stage at South Boston at 1800 EST on the 14th.The Roanoke River crested just over flood stage at Randolph at 2100 EST on the 13th.
