Sustained southerly outflow winds from a thunderstorm complex in Chihuahua caused strong winds from about 6:30 to 10:15 pm CDT. During the strongest winds (9:00 to 9:30 pm) scattered damage occurred around town. The damage included a few roofs (or parts of roofs) being blown off, a few trees knocked down, and power lines blown down that resulted in a two-hour power outage. Blowing dust was very thick during the event reducing the visibility down to 50 feet at times.
