Baseball-size hail, and some hailstones up to three inches in diameter, fell over north portions of the city of Abilene overnight June 6 and 7. The hail caused considerable damage, including a lot of broken windows, at Abilene Christian University, Hardin-Simmons University and many north Abilene residences.

Baseball-size hail, and some hailstones up to three inches in diameter, fell over north portions of the city of Abilene overnight June 6 and 7. The hail caused considerable damage, including a lot of broken windows, at Abilene Christian University, Hardin-Simmons University and many north Abilene residences. The storm also caused power outages, about 2,200 people in Abilene were without electricity.
