Very heavy rain from several slow moving severe thunderstorms produced flooding throughout Atchison County. The county sheriff's office reported road flooding in and around the Tarkio area including Route B near Highway 59 about 5 miles northwest of Tarkio. Road flooding was also reported at Tarkio and Rockport. Sandbagging was requested in Rockport along Rock Creek due to flooding. Other road flooding was reported 2 miles east of Watson on Interstate 29 and 5 miles northwest of Linden along Route 275.
