Severe storms produced widespread wind damage. In western Ogle County trees were uprooted and branches were snapped north and west of Polo. At White Pines State Park, at least 100 trees were damaged or blown down. Two trees fell on vehicles. About 20 trees were dowqn around the lodge. Southwest of Mount Morris and barn was destroyed. Winds were clocked at 93 mph there. Trees and limbs were also damaged. At Oregon, trees were blown down. A tree fell on a car at Castle Rock State Park. The storm continued into central and eastern Ogle County and northern Lee County. Tree limbs and power lines were downed in Ashton and Rochelle. Trees and limbs were downed in DeKalb, Cortland and Waterman in DeKalb County. Trees were also damaged in northwest Kendall County and in central Kane County at Plato Center.
