A tornado briefly down 2 miles east of New Berlin, then lifted and touched down again 5 miles east northeast of New Berlin. The tornado caused major damage to one home, a barn, and machine shed, though no injuries were reported. Also, two other homes sustained minor damage. Two semis were blown over on I-72 (both trailers were empty) and no injuries were reported. Damage was estimated around $250,000.
