Thunderstorms with heavy rain dropped an estimated 1.5 to 2.0 inches of rain within the drainage basin of the Christina River, most of it within one hour. This caused to river to reach its flood stage of 9 feet at 5 p.m. EDT. It crested at 10.35 feet at 815 p.m. EDT and was within bankfull again at 10 p.m. EDT. Minor flooding also occurred along the Red and White Clay Creeks. No significant damage or injuries were reported.
