Downburst winds took the roof off a shed and blew other debris on the north side of Fort Stockton. Wind was estimated at near 60 mph by sheriff's office personnel. About a half hour later strong winds estimated at 60 mph by the Crane PD blew at the Pecos River along the Pecos/Crane County line. Quarter-size hail was reported just north of the State Highway 329/FM 1233 intersection.

Severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening produced large hail and damaging winds. Hail as large as baseballs was reported 12 miles southwest of Crowell in Foard County, and wind speeds as high as 70 mph were reported in Scotland in Archer County. At Lake Kickapoo and in Archer City in Archer County, winds reached 60 mph, blowing the roof off the newspaper office and resulting in water damage to the computers. Severe thunderstorm winds downed power lines in Chillicothe in Hardeman County and in Wichita Falls in Wichita County. Also in Wichita Falls, numerous branches were snapped, metal sheds and wood fences were damaged, and 14 to 16-inch trees were uprooted by winds measured at 68 mph. In Clay County in Petrolia power poles were downed, a roof was blown off a service station, and a barn was blown over.

As much as three to five inches of rain, in less than a half-hour, produced widespread flooding along San Gabriel Creek, causing damages to homes and buildings. Nearly two dozen motorists were stranded in their vehicles in high water and had to be rescued. Widespread power outages were reported across Del Rio.
