The Matador Fire Department spotters reported a tornado one to two miles northwest of Flomot. The brief tornado touched down in an open area and did not cause any damage. In Coke County, the sheriff's office reported winds overturned two campers, slightly injuring two people. Hail destroyed young cotton crops near Rowena in Runnels County. An National Weather Service co-operative observer in Paint Rock reported dime-size hail.
