The tornado began near a power plant and moved southeast through the town of Talco crossing feet south of Highway 171 and 71 intersection inside the city limits then continued almost due east paralleling Highway 71 on the south side. The tornado moved around 25 mph but displayed a zig-zagged movement. The tornado was reported to have had a well formed condensation tube that pulsed from grey to white. The tornado moved across several trees causing strong shaking but only small branches about twig sized were broken and carried away. The tornado then moved across a mobile home ripping its corragated tin roof off and one piece of the roof was carried 1.1 miles and fell in a pasture. The rest of the roof was twisted in the trees near tree tops about 30 feet in height from the property edge to about one-third mile away. The rest of the mobile home remainded intact. One small utility shed and one chicken house had its roof ripped apart with a 2x6 snapped.
