An isolated tornado formed from a high-based thunderstorm in southwest Oklahoma. The tornado was spotted by the county sheriff and was described as a "landspout". It stayed on the ground for about eight minutes and was estimated at 45 to 65 yards wide. The tornado remained in open country and no damage occurred.
