A severe thunderstorm wreaked havoc in and around Narraguagus Bay. High winds sank one moving lobster boat and nearly capsized another. Both crews made it to safety. Many trees were blown down on several islands and along the coast. A peak gust of 93 knots was recorded at Stewart's Point before the wind equipment broke. Golf ball-size hail injured two women camping on Flint Island. Winds downed large trees in Milbridge and Cherryfield, damaging several homes.
