A short-lived tornado touched down one mile west of Bartow Municipal Airport and damaged a vehicle. The tornado skipped east across rural countryside before it severely damaged a few hangars, overturned ten small private planes and downed several storage sheds and power lines. The hangers sustained approximately $500 thousand worth of damage while the planes incurred another $500 thousand.

Microburst winds of 50 mph produced a scattered path of damage 1.5 miles in length and 100-150 feet wide. Two mobile homes were damaged. One lost a roof off an addition, another was pushed into a nearby mobile home. One hogpen was damaged. A few large trees were snapped midway from the trunk, several large tree branches were downed. Estimated damage of $7 thousand.
