High wind with a thunderstorm knocked down a cement block wall of the Spring Valley Community Center that had lost it's roof during storms on July 17th. The building was being renovated by the fire department. Debris from the community center damaged several cars in the parking lot at the fire station immediately next door. In the area, a number of houses reported shingles blown off during the wind. A couple of trees were blown down and several trees lost large limbs with some trees having the tops blown out of them.

Trees and power lines were reported down by emergency management in what was believed to be a down burst wind. The area affected was near Warrenton just west of Guntersville.

Thunderstorm winds blew trees and power lines down near Butler. One person reported seeing a funnel cloud before the damage occurred but the funnel never touched down. The damage occurred on the leading edge of a thunderstorm which was moving toward the south. Two to three hundred trees in a two to three mile stretch were blow down. One of the trees fell on a house and damaged it.
