Severe thunderstorms hit parts of west-central...central and east-central Wisconsin with damaging winds that knocked down trees and power lines. A tornado touched down just north of Melrose (Jackson County) and traveled southeast about two miles along Highway 54. The tornado destroyed a barn and damaged farm buildings and machinery. Severe thunderstorm winds blew a fully loaded tractor-semitrailer off the road near White Lake in Langlade County. Another hard hit area was in northern Oconto County, where a mobile home in the town of Brazeau was overturned injuring two people, and several homes were damaged.
