Scattered severe thunderstorms producing hail up to one inch in diameter and intense winds rolled through southern Wisconsin. The town of Ironton (Sauk County) was hit by violent thunderstorm winds which blew a barn over and damaged some farm machinery. Lightning started a fire which destroyed a 20 by 40 foot workshop near Orfordville (Rock County). Hard hit was the New Lisbon area (Juneau County) where hail completely covered the ground and caused icy road conditions on Interstate 90-94.
