Thunderstorm produced nickel-size hail and almost two inches of rain at Bergtons. Thunderstorm winds knocked down a couple of concession stands.
Trees down between Castleton and Laurel Mills. Heavy rains also caused roads to close with up to three feet of water across roadways.
Thunderstorm winds blew several trees and limbs down which also caused power outages in the Burke and Springfield areas. Heavy rain also caused minor flooding along small streams and creeks in the western part of the county.
Over three inches of rain fell causing several roads just west of Mount Jackson to be closed. Trees were uprooted near Conicville and Route 703. Power was knocked out. Trees and lightning also knocked out power around Hamburg, Basye, and Broadway.
