Thunderstorm winds knocked down trees in Berwick. In Briar Creek, in addition to uprooting trees, damaging winds blew the front porch off a trailer and a three car garage was blown to pieces. About 1,300 customers lost power.

Lightning injured two golfers at the Municipal Golf Course. The bolt ricocheted off a tree and hit the two men as they stood underneath a shelter. Numerous trees were also downed. Hail was reported to be an inch deep across the northern part of the county, diameter unknown.
