Hail and up to three inches of rain fell between 1800 and 2000 EDT. Trees were downed between Somerset and Sipesville. Hail shredded leaves on corn stalks and trees, and flattened alfalfa. Streets and basements were flooded at Hooversville, Sipesville, and Friedens. Stream flooding was also observed with parts of 985, 403, and 601 covered by water. At Glencoe, 20 dairy cows were killed by lightning.
Trees and powerlines were downed at Centre Hall Boalsburg, State College, and Pine Grove Mills.
Wind blew over 20 to 30 trees at Huntingdon and Mill Creek. Several homes were damaged; estimate $2,000.
