Severe thunderstorms developed in northeast Oklahoma during the early morning of October 7th. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 74 miles an hour at the mesonet automated observing site in Vinita and to 60 miles an hour at Afton. Quarter-size hail fell at Bartlesville, nickel-size hail fell at Lenapah, and dime-size hail fell 2 miles southwest of Bartlesville and 4 miles east of Welch.

Lightning from thunderstorms in southwest Oklahoma struck a tree at Liberty Lake in Lawton, injuring one woman. A power line in Cleveland County was also struck, knocking out power in Norman for 45 minutes. Hail as large as golf balls was reported in Seminole County.

Severe thunderstorms redeveloped in northeast Oklahoma during the late morning and early afternoon of October 7th and produced large hail. Quarter-size hail fell 4 miles south southwest of Bristow, nickel-size hail fell 8 miles south of Bristow, and dime-size hail fell at Boley and 10 miles west of Okmulgee.
