Severe thunderstorms occurred in eastern Oklahoma through much of the day on November 3rd. Strong thunderstorm winds downed trees 5 miles northeast of Red Oak, near Lequire, and at McCurtain, and a tree was blown down onto a road near Pocola. Several large tree limbs were blown down at Panama, and 60 mile an hour winds downed large tree limbs near Chelsea. A cable box was blown out at a house by 60 mile an hour winds 1/2 mile south of Cookson. Thunderstorm winds OKLAHOMA, Eastern Cont'd gusted to 70 miles an hour at Warner and to 65 miles an hour at Eufaula. Thunderstorm winds gusted to 60 miles an hour 3 miles southwest of Webbers Falls, 2 miles southwest of Skiatook, 3 miles north of Sperry, and 10 miles northwest of Vinita. Large hail also accompanied the storms. Quarter size hail fell 2 miles east of Broken Arrow along the Tulsa/Wagoner county line and also 5 miles northeast of Sapulpa. Nickel size hail fell 5 miles east of Broken Arrow, at Salina, 2 miles east of Salina, 1 mile north of Pryor, and 3 miles west of Keetonville. Dime to nickel size hail fell on the northeast side of Collinsville, and dime size hail fell at numerous other locations in eastern Oklahoma. The thunderstorms also produced very heavy rainfall which resulted in flash flooding in parts of east central and southeast Oklahoma. Street flooding and some minor small creek overflows occurred in Stilwell and in Arkoma, and some county roads were flooded north of Sallisaw. Street flooding occurred in Red Oak and in McCurtain, and some secondary roads were closed by flooding in McCurtain.
