Severe thunderstorms developed in northeast Oklahoma during the early morning of August 26th and produced damaging winds. Strong thunderstorm winds blew part of the roof off a mobile home 4 miles east of New Alluwe and blew shingles off houses in New Alluwe. Thunderstorm winds downed trees and power lines in Commerce and downed several large tree limbs 3.5 miles west northwest of Nowata.
