Severe thunderstorms ahead of a cold front moved through the Mid-Hudson Valley of New York during the late afternoon hours of June 14th. Torrential rains accompanied the thunderstorms which resulted in flash flooding in parts of Dutchess and Ulster Counties. Thunderstorm winds downed trees and powerlines in parts of Dutchess and Columbia Counties. Flash flooding occurred in the Town of Ulster where buildings were flooded with several feet of water and across parts of Dutchess County where three to four inches of rain fell in a two to three hour period.
