A slow moving cold front moved into the eastern Great Lakes late in the day on July 24th resulting in severe thunderstorms across parts of the Susquehanna and Western Catskill regions of New York. Thunderstorm winds downed trees and powerlines resulting in more than 3,000 customers being left without electricity. In Chenango Forks a couple was struck by lightning at their home resulting in minor injuries.
