A very moist and unstable airmass produced a sort-lived tornado that skipped across Hunterdon County. After its initial touchdown, it remained on the ground for about 1 mile. It then lifted for nearly 5 miles before touching the ground again. It produced another path of damage about 0.5 mile long before it lifted for the final time.

A very moist and unstable airmass produced some isolated thunderstorms that downed several trees and power lines. In addition, a few homes sustained significant fire damage after being hit by lightning.
