A small tornado started on the southeast fringes of town. It picked up a fiberglass storage tank east of town and carried it north for over a mile. The tank was deposited onto a truck, bounced off of a car and then into a garage. The truck was totalled, the car damaged and the garaged was heavily damaged.

Mesoscale outflow winds not accompanied by thunder or rain enhanced strong gradient winds with gusts of 50 to 65 mph. The winds did cause scattered damage to power lines and tree limbs. A tin roof was also blown off of a building near Greenwood.
