Thunderstorms moved across east central Virginia downing scattered trees and power lines across southern Culpeper, and Orange counties, with the heaviest damage near Rapidan. Trees and power lines were also downed across Spotsylvania County, the city of Fredericksburg, and western Caroline County. Golfball-size hail was reported near Spotsylvania and lightning caused a house fire in Millgarden division damaging one room.
