A line of severe thunderstorms developed over central Minnesota packing strong winds. Several large trees were blown down in Spicer and New London (Kandiyohi County), Sauk Centre (Stearns County) and in the Lake Nokomis area in Minneapolis (Hennepin County). Some damage to buildings occurred near Spicer (Kandiyohi County) and Sauk Centre (Stearns County).
