A Skywarn Spotter sighted a funnel cloud near the Arters Mill area in northern Carroll County around 1812 EDT, and a tornado briefly touched down in Arters Mill shortly after, at around 1815 EDT. The tornado damaged a home in Arters Mill. Thunderstorm winds damaged some homes and blew down numerous trees in the Union Mill and Silver Run areas.
