Devils River at Bakers Crossing near Juno

1. 22.00 ft(6.7 meters), Major flooding is above telephone lines is some areas of the flood plain. Disastrous flooding is extremely dangerous to campers and livestock well into the flood plain. Roads, fences, and the flood plain are scoured extensively.
2. 20.00 ft(6.1 meters), Very deep flow covers telephone lines in some areas. Campers, autos, and gear well away from the river above Juno to Amistad Reservoir are easily swept downstream. Livestock are cut off and potentially drowned. There is widespread damage to fences and road surfaces near the river.
3. 19.00 ft(5.8 meters), Massive flooding destroys anything in the flood plain near the Devils River and its tributaries.
4. 17.00 ft(5.2 meters), Major flooding can wash livestock, autos, camp equipment and campers away well into the flood plain and tributaries of the Devils River above Glasscock Ranch to Amistad Reservoir. Roads and bridges are severely flooded and extremely dangerous. Many areas are cut off for hours.
5. 15.00 ft(4.6 meters), Major flooding reaches campers, automobiles, and recreational vehicles well away from the river above Juno to Amistad Reservoir. Livestock are cut off and potentially drowned. There is widespread damage to roads and fences.
6. 14.00 ft(4.3 meters), Flooding can wash automobiles, equipment, and campers downstream from above Juno to Amistad Reservoir. Roads and bridges near the river are very dangerous. Six feet of flow covers the Bakers Crossing bridge. Livestock should be moved from flood prone areas.
7. 12.00 ft(3.7 meters), Campers, automobiles and equipment near the river above Juno to Amistad Reservoir can be washed downstream. The river is very turbulent at this level and dangerous for inexperienced swimmers, canoeists and kayakers. Five feet of flow covers the Highway 163 bridge below Juno.
8. 10.00 ft(3.0 meters), Moderate lowland flooding is several feet over the Bakers Crossing bridge at Highway 163. Flow is well into the flood plain and very dangerous to campers and river recreationists above Juno to Amistad Reservoir.
9. 8.00 ft(2.4 meters), Moderate lowland flooding reaches the Highway 163 bridge floor several miles below Juno. This level is turbulent and dangerous for inexperienced swimmers, canoeists and kayakers.
10. 6.00 ft(1.8 meters), Minor lowland flooding extends into low areas of the flood plain with no significant impact.
