3. 174.00 ftModerate flooding occurs. A church in the lowlands begins to flood, and several homes are theatened.
4. 173.00 ftMinor flooding occurs. Lowland parks and secondary roadways adjacent to the lake begin to flood. Boats should be removed from boathouses to prevent damage to both boats and boathouses, as the boats will rise with the high water. Also the Shreveport Water Treatment Plant opens the gates from the lake to control flooding as well. Expect the gates to remain open until the lake recedes to near the 171.1 foot conservation pool stage.
