Strong rip currents generated by Hurricane Henri swells led to 30 rip current rescues at Wrightsville Beach, 8 rescues at Carolina Beach, and 15 at Kure Beach.

Widespread and significant flash flooding occurred in East Windsor Township and in Hightstown. Numerous roads were closed due to flooding. Water rescues took place along Hankins Road near Woodland Drive, and at the intersection of Mercer Street and Airport Road in East Windsor Township. US Route 130 was closed to the south of Princeton-Hightstown Road in East Windsor Township. Franklin Street was closed to the east of North Main Street in Hightstown.

Widespread and significant flash flooding occurred in Monroe Township. About 95 houses in the Rossmoor development were impacted by the flood waters, with many of the structures sustaining quite a bit of damage. Numerous roads in the township were closed and many vehicles were stranded in the flood waters. A section of NJ Route 33 to the east of Applegarth Road was closed.

An observation from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy measured a sustained wind of 44 mph at 1021 AM EST and a gust of 56 mph at 918 AM EST. The ASOS at New London Airport (KGON) gusted to 53 mph at 1003 AM EST. Winds across this area were generally sustained at 35 to 45 mph with gusts 50 to 60 mph. There were several reports of trees and wires down across the county with a tree down on a house in Gales Ferry.

Winds gusted to between 60 and 70 mph for a few hours during the mid to late morning. At 859 AM EST, a mesonet site at New Shoreham recorded a peak gust to 67 mph. At 932 AM EST, a mesonet site at the Block Island Jetty recorded a peak wind gust to 69 mph.

An observation from Great Gull island, located about 6 miles northeast of the north fork of Long Island, measured a sustained wind of 60 mph at 1101 AM EST, and gust to 69 mph at the same time. Winds across this area were generally sustained at 30 to 40 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph.

In North Smithfield at 924 AM EST, a tree was down on a wire on Hanton Road and at 1053 AM EST, a tree was down on St. Paul Street at Middle Street. In Lincoln at 944 AM EST, a tree was down on South Street at Breakneck Hill Road. In Cumberland at 1047 AM EST, two trees were down on unspecified roads. Numerous other trees were downed but not reported. Winds generally were gusting to 40 to 45 mph.

In Vernon, the Hockanum River overflowed a roadway connecting Hartford Turnpike to the Colonial Corners shopping plaza, a motel, and a few other businesses. A significant amount of damage was done to the area parking lot. The motel guests were trapped by flood waters. Local officials created an egress onto I-84 to evacuate people from the motel. Other flooding was reported on Burke Road in Vernon. A CoCoRaHS observer in Vernon recorded 4.95 inches of rain for the two-day total from Henri. In nearby Hebron, 5.62 inches was recorded by a CoCoRaHS observer.

The Bronx River at the Bronx Botanical Gardens rose above minor flood stage (3.0 feet) at 6:45pm EST on August 22. It then continued to rise, exceeding moderate flood stage (3.5 feet) at 8:45pm EST before cresting at a height of 3.83 feet at 11:30pm EST. The river fell below moderate flood stage at 3:45am EST on August 23, then below minor flood stage at 6:15am EST.

Flooding occurred throughout Pittston. Especially hard hit were areas along Main Street in both directions between James A Musto ballpark and Tedrick Street. All lanes were closed and cars were stranded.

In Marlborough, a small, brief tornado touched down just west of I-495 near the Marlborough Water Treatment Center. As it traveled to the northwest, it went over a business park and then dissipated just north of Cedar Hill Street. Several people filmed the tornado and posted it on social media. Per the NWS survey, several eyewitnesses reported seeing tree branches lofted into the air. The tornado took down a tree on Cedar Hill Street, which fell on two cars, with damage to one of them.

In Bolton, a small, brief tornado touched down, causing minor damage between roughly 175 and 198 Main Street. One tree was knocked down onto wires and a large branch was ripped from another tree. It is believed that a funnel cloud initially formed a short distance to the southeast of where the damage was observed, and as it moved northwest, it briefly touched down. Radar data indicated rotation associated with a shower that moved over the area to be very similar to what was observed with the Marlborough tornado a short while earlier.
