Heavy rain of 1.5 to 2.5 inches in 90 minutes caused widespread flash flooding in Tucson and resulted in a total of 45 stranded motorist calls and 8 swift water rescues. One rescue involved a Pima County Supervisor, who was swept away in her vehicle near Ft. Lowell and Oracle Rd. Flood waters caused major road damage near Lee St. and Santa Rosa Avenue. The Stone St. underpass was flooded to a depth of 8 feet. Flash flooding also caused delays and closures along Sandario Rd in Picture Rocks. Near Silverbell Rd and Speedway Rd, multiple lower level townhouses incurred flood damage. A few residences in Green Valley suffered minor flooding.

Heavy rain caused ponding of water along Highway 79 north of Park Link Drive, and caused Durham Wash and other small washes to flow across the highway, making it impassable for 2 hours. Farther south, heavy rain also occurred near I-10 along the Pinal/Pima county line. Flash flooding occurred at Pinal Air Park, where flood waters entered several buildings. Runoff flooded small washes near Red Rock and washed out Sasco Road at the Santa Cruz River.

A best track is the record a warning agency settles on after the storm, not what it said at the time: position, maximum sustained wind and central pressure every six hours, revised against every observation that came in later. Category is the Saffir-Simpson scale, which runs from Category 1 at 64 kt to Category 5 at 137 kt and reads wind only, so it says nothing about surge or rain. Accumulated cyclone energy adds up the square of the wind through the storm's life, so it counts strength and duration together.
