A landslide along road PR-14, at Barrio Asomante, 100 Muros Sector in the Aibonito municipality was responsible for the death of two persons, and injuries to another two, as they drove a Ford F-150 extra cabin near km. 44.8, when a large landslide of rocks fell on the vehicle, as they drove towards Coamo municipality.

An extensive band of rain and thunderstorms moved onshore across the east and southeast section of Puerto Rico. Flash flooding was reported at Highway 901 and Quebrada in Camino Nuevo, at the intersection of Highway 182 and 3, and the entrance to the City.

High surf began to impact the Broward County coast on October 29th, with water levels rising sufficiently enough to cause moderate to isolated pockets of severe beach erosion and coastal flooding beginning on October 30th, and continuing through October 31st and into the first few days of November. Areas most affected by the beach erosion were Fort Lauderdale Beach and Hollywood Beach. Sand had to be removed Highway AIA in Fort Lauderdale Beach, and estimates of only 10 remaining yards of beach were received from Hollywood Beach. Maximum storm tide observed at Virginia Key NOS tide gauge was 3.5 feet just before midnight on November 1, and the maximum surge height at that time was 1.08 feet. No tide measurements are available from Broward County, but storm tide is estimated to have been as high as 1-2 feet over portions of Broward County.

Ocean overwash and coastal flooding was reported from Cape Hatteras north along the Outer Banks. Eight single family dwellings in Nags Head reported property damage. Eight ocean front properties on the north end of Rodanthe sustained severe beach erosion and some damage. Thirty three private beach accesses were damaged near Nags Head. Highway 12 near Rodanthe was flooded with 4 to 5 feet of water closing the road for several hours. Total reported property damage for Dare county was estimated to be 72,000 dollars.

Trees, wires, and power poles were downed across much of Barnstable County. Some of these downed wires caused a fire on Town Well Road in Sandwich. Widespread power outages were experienced in Sandwich. Downed trees and wires closed Route 6A in Sandwich. A tree was blown down onto a house in Sandwich. A couple of communications towers were downed in Barnstable and Harwich. Several roofs blown off near the county dispatch center in Falmouth.

Large trees and wires were downed across southern Bristol County, blocking streets in some instances. In addition, a house was damaged by a fallen tree on Locust Street and a car was damaged by a fallen tree on Quarry Street, both in Fall River. A fallen tree landing on a power pole and lines caused a fire on Slade Street in Fall River.

What this means
A best track is the record a warning agency settles on after the storm, not what it said at the time: position, maximum sustained wind and central pressure every six hours, revised against every observation that came in later. Category is the Saffir-Simpson scale, which runs from Category 1 at 64 kt to Category 5 at 137 kt and reads wind only, so it says nothing about surge or rain. Accumulated cyclone energy adds up the square of the wind through the storm's life, so it counts strength and duration together.
