June 15, 1995, 00:15:48.7 UTC, 38.401 N, 22.283 E, depth 14 km, 6.1 mb, 6.5 MS, 6.5 MW. Twenty-six people were killed and 60 injured in the Aiyion area. Extensive damage at Aiyion and Eratini. Damage also at Corinth, Patrai and Pirgos. Preliminary estimate of 660 million U.S. dollars damage. Felt at Athens, Ioannina, Kalamai,Kardhitsa and Kozani. Also felt on Kefallinia. (reference #1053)
June 15, 1995, Gulf of Corinth, central Greece. A strong earthquake occurring at 00.6h GMT caused destruction in Aiyion with 26 killed people and extensive damage
elsewhere in the western part of the Gulf of Corinth. Several ground failures were observed. A local strong sea-wave with the amplitude of 0.5 - 1 m was
