A shock struck the whole Sichuan Province, especially
Maoxian.
City walls of Pingfanying were destroyed and house
walls collapsed. On the left bank or the Minjiang
River, Mt. Qishan (20 km north of Maoxian) slid, and the river was blocked up. Many people were killed or injured.
The shock also struck Guangyuan, Shifang, Jiangyou,
Santai, Shehong, Pengxi and Lezhi.
