Mexico, D.F.: Wednesday, October seventh, in the year sixteen hundred and sixteen, at about two o'clock at noon, the earth shook, and lasted longer than four creeds could pray and then this same day it shook again at twelve o'clock at night, it lasted about two creeds.
Acapulco, Costa Chica, Gro.: Very intense earthquake that caused enormous material damage and some victims. Acapulco: Very strong, as also in Costa Chica.
Oaxaca: Formidable tremor followed by long drought.
