Root River Canal At Raymond affecting Racine County. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois...Wisconsin... Fox River Lower Near New Munster affecting Lake and Kenosha Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Root River Canal at Raymond. * WHEN...Until Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Water floods Koerber Park on 6 Mile Road. Flooding of rural land and agricultural land. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 9.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:00 PM CDT Monday was 9.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue falling to 2.9 feet Monday, September 28. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.5 feet on 04/16/1948. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

What to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. * WHAT...Life threatening waves of 4 to 8 feet and dangerous currents are expected. * WHERE...Sheboygan, Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Racine and Kenosha Counties. * WHEN...Through early Wednesday evening. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming conditions are expected due to high waves and onshore winds.

What to do

Stay out of the water and away from dangerous areas like piers and breakwalls. Strong structural and longshore currents are expected. Rip currents are possible.
