The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
Southeastern Scott County in east central Minnesota...
* Until 215 PM CDT.
* At 148 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located over Elko New Market, or 13 miles northwest of
Northfield, moving north at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught
without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or
destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will
occur. Tree damage is likely.
* Locations impacted include...
Burnsville, Savage, Prior Lake, Elko New Market and Credit River.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
