The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Champaign County in east central Illinois...

* Until 115 AM CDT.

* At 1251 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located near Gifford, or 8 miles northeast of Rantoul,
  moving north at 65 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northeastern Champaign County, including the following locations...
  Penfield.
