  North central Randall County in the Panhandle of Texas...

* Until 1230 AM CDT.

* At 1204 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
  tornado was located over Mescalero Park, or 6 miles north of
  Canyon, moving north at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include...
  Mescalero Park, Timbercreek Canyon, and Amarillo.

At 1213 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Mescalero Park, or 8 miles north of Canyon, moving
north at 15 mph.

The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning has been
cancelled. However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a
Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
the Panhandle of Texas.
